Amazon Web Services (AWS) is awesome. You get total control over everything. But it is a steep learning curve, and you pay as you go, no set monthly fee.
So New Years Day 2018, i get an email projecting my monthly usage to be 20x what is has ever been in the past.
I delete my account. (The mild hangover didnt help with decision making).
A day later I receive another email saying the first was an error and to ignore it. Too late. By the time i reactivate my account, all data is gone and the account got all messed up so i have to close it down (for real this time) and start again.
So that’s why it looks like this site has only been around since early 2018, rather than since 2015 when it first started.
Lesson == Backup.
